4 Tips for Finding Patterns for Your Hardwood Flooring

4 Tips for Finding Patterns for Your Hardwood Flooring

There are many ways to lay a floor. Which pattern might work best for you?

The year is rapidly coming to an end. Now that Labor Day is behind is us, it feels like summer is well and truly over. It’s never too late (or early, for that matter) to get your resolution for the new year to take shape. Refreshing your hardwood flooring is one way to do it, especially if you are searching for a new pattern

Choose Between Horizontal or Vertical

Horizontal patterns and vertical patterns are attractive options that you could choose. You’ll often find that straight flooring is extremely popular. Compared to other types, it’s also far easier to install. Planks are put down alongside one another; in the end, it depends on the length and width of the floors. Also, take into consideration the dimensions of the room where you want to install the floors in question. Traditional and contemporary designs are both possible, so it comes down to what you want.

Try to Mix It Up

At the same time, you can also experiment with different designs. When you choose random patterns, it can really draw the eye. If your older patterns no longer look interesting, then it’s probably time you replaced them with something else. Differently-sized floorboards help create this intriguing effect – different lengths are also used to help make your hardwood flooring look even more beautiful than they used to

Consider All the Angles

So now let’s move on. Have you considered all of the angles in the room with the new flooring? Angled looks are diagonal and are placed at 45-degree angles. One of the biggest reasons to go with this design choice is that it can help make a smaller room feel larger than it is. That illusion is more valuable than you might think, especially when your home isn’t as large as you would like it to be.

Play Around with Parquet and Herringbone

Finally, don’t hesitate to play around with other looks for the new flooring you are about to put down in your home. After all, both parquet and herringbone are classics that will stand the test of time. Infuse each room with some elegant flair!
